Burren Fine Wine & Food

Burren Fine Wine & Food is situated at the bottom of Corkscrew Hill, two miles from the beautiful village of Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare, Ireland, mid-way on the Wild Atlantic Way. Galway City is an hour drive to the north and Limerick and Shannon Airport just an hour to the south.

Burren Fine Wine and Food is owned by Cathleen Connole since 1999 and welcomes everyone from near and far to relax and enjoy delicious Summer Lunches, Afternoon Tea, Picnics, quality Wines and small Private Parties.

Bike hire and Guided Walks and Cycles are available, some packages combining food and an activity eg. Early Bird Guided Cycle and Rathbourney Valley walk.

Gourmet Hampers and corporate Gifts for all occasions, dedicated to those who appreciate the finer things in life are on offer during the festive season.

As proud members of Burren Ecotourism Network we are committed to continuing to improve our environmental performance, minimising our environmental impact on the beautiful area in which we live. Due to our location and firm belief in the principles of ‘Leave No Trace’ we embrace its ethos into our business.

Burren Food & Wine

Nestled between the enchanted Hills of the Burren, within the walls of this century old stone coach house every Summer season you can enjoy a selection of tasty lunches from the menu, including healthy salads, homemade bread, scones and a range of mouth-watering desserts or simply just soak up the tranquil atmosphere with a glass of wine or a cup of tea. Any guilt feelings of over indulgence you may have can be justified because most of the food you are eating has been grown either by Cathleen or one of her neighbours, each dish made from scratch in her kitchen so you are helping to sustain more than one small business along the Wild Atlantic Way if that’s not enough you can partake in one of our guided activities or we can direct you to the nearby Burren Way for a leisurely stroll.
