It can also help detect glaucoma up to four years in advance. What’s more, a customer’s OCT images are stored on file, so Specsavers optometrists can monitor any changes to the eye over time.

Stores also offer digital retinal photography – technology that allows optometrists take a detailed photo of the back of the eye – and uses digital Precision Eyecare, a cutting-edge way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses using imaging software on tablet devices.

With PRSI optical benefits, at Specsavers, all of the glasses in the €69 range are available for those who qualify at no extra cost, giving customers greater choice and range of style when choosing their new frames. This includes standard single-vision lenses and a scratch-resistant treatment, but you can also have 1.5 Standard bifocal or 1.5 Standard varifocal lenses at no extra charge.

Customers can also put their PRSI benefit towards the cost of glasses in the €89 range and above.

If you are not entitled to PRSI, Specsavers will offer Senior Card members 20% off a complete pair of glasses.
